Jada Pickett-Smith wife of film star Will Smith, is championing the issue with call for activism. She wants the world to sign a petition to protect the rain forest. In a power statement the actress said, “Our planet needs you to act”.



Through her Instagram account, Jada is encouraging people to join the fight by signing the petition. Let our voices be heard loudly!, is the battle cry. She has also asked that if you can’t sign the petition then donate or volunteer your time. Additionally, she encourages everyone to spread awareness about the threat of deforestation on social media.
