President’s Strike Against Iran: A U.S. Navy Veteran Explains Why It Was the Right Call.
In a rare moment of agreement, I stand fully behind the recent U.S. military strike against Iran. As a veteran, media contributor, and entrepreneur, I disagree with almost every other White House policy. Yet this calculated attack was different, necessary, and justified.
Iran has acted with impunity for too long, using aggression and intimidation, the “stick” to force concessions. Meanwhile, other global powers like Egypt and Saudi Arabia openly reject a nuclear-capable Iran. Even the European Union tried and failed to secure a peaceful solution. Time after time, Iran ignored negotiations and manipulated opportunities, making this strong action inevitable.
The United States and Israel drew a firm line because appeasement no longer works. The President acted within his role as commander-in-chief, making it clear that tolerance for aggression ended. This calculated military strike reminds the world that America will defend its interests and stand with its allies when threats arise.
Contrary to alarmist narratives, this action will not spiral into a wider war. Iran has become increasingly isolated, and its leaders recognize this reality. Its Supreme Leader hides not from U.S. or Israeli forces, but from betrayal within his own ranks. Even traditional allies across the Middle East have signaled reluctance to support Iran in any serious conflict.
Senator Bernie Sanders, quickly condemned the President
Some Democrats, including Senator Bernie Sanders, quickly condemned the President for this action, calling it unconstitutional. Yet many of these same voices remained silent when federal troops deployed domestically against American citizens. The hypocrisy speaks volumes. The President acted within his constitutional role as commander-in-chief. He can authorize a military strike to protect U.S. interests. Only Congress can declare war, but the President can respond to imminent threats.
This moment shines a light on a deeper crisis within our government. The Constitution was designed as a pact between leaders and citizens, by the people, for the people. Yet too many in Washington now place party loyalty and personal interests above service to Americans. Too often, constitutional principles are invoked selectively, used as weapons when convenient, and ignored when inconvenient.
This double standard threatens the very foundation of American democracy. Meanwhile, Americans across the nation, regardless of race, religion, or background, struggle to make ends meet. They watch as leaders spend more time focusing on international optics than defending the rights and well‑being of their own people.
The President acted within his role, making a tough, necessary, and justified decision. Criticisms rooted in partisanship and hypocrisy will not diminish the fact that this strike was calculated and measured. As Americans, regardless of party, we must stay vigilant. We must hold leaders accountable to their constitutional obligations, both domestically and abroad.
The legitimacy of the United States government rests upon its service to the people, not upon its service to itself. This moment reminds every citizen and politician alike that strength, integrity, and loyalty to American interests must guide every decision. True leadership shines when leaders honor their oath, respect the Constitution, and stand firm against aggression.
