President Donald Trump Speaks at CPAC. Trump spoke to the Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday, vowing to protect gun rights, slash business regulations, toughen immigration laws and shrink the size of government.
Donald Trump spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Friday, his first public appearance since leaving office. Trump used his speech to attack his successor, Joe Biden, and to call for unity within the Republican Party. “We have to be careful because our opponents are looking for any sign of division,” Trump said. “We can’t let them see us fighting.” Trump also hinted at a possible 2024 presidential run, saying that he would “be back in some form.” The CPAC speech was yet another reminder of Trump’s continued hold over the Republican Party.
