Life After Divorce: A Black Tie Affair. Divorce can be rough. Separating from a close partner is never an easy process, and it often results in waves of emotion that can feel overwhelming. It’s natural to grieve the loss of a relationship and struggle to adjust as one finds themselves in uncharted waters. However, with time comes understanding, and even beauty. This article explores the opportunity for growth that is inherent within all divorces. We will discover how life after divorce becomes like a black tie affair. Richly filling those who’ve thoughtfully dressed for success when they arrived at such trying times in their lives.
One organization helping divorcees is Make it R.I.S.E. (Rebuild Intentionally and Strategically for Effectiveness). They are hosting the Life After Divorce Conference and Gala. This annual event celebrates the resilience and strength of those who have gone through a divorce. Tamora Katrice, best sellling author is the founder of this movement. This event will be held at the Embassy Suites LAX on Saturday, November 4, 2023.
The day begins with a mini conference including a panel discussion and a keynote address from a prominent speaker. The discussion will include the importance of self-care and how to practice it in order to effectively heal. Attendees will listen and participate in conversation about how to manage emotions and stress, ways to cope with loneliness, and how to rebuild trust. Attendees are also able to network with each other, with the goal of forming lasting friendships throughout the day.
Life After Divorce is a season of healing
The event concludes with a gala dinner and dance – a black tie affair. Comedian Cizzle C holds the honor of serving as the MC. He is “The Prince of Clean Comedy,” with a mission to bring guilt-free and side-splitting laughter.
Attendees include the coauthors of the book that launched the movement, Life After Divorce: The Journey to Being Healed and Whole. This anthology includes stories by 12 women sharing their experience, good & bad, with divorce. The book was released in 2021 and became a bestseller on Amazon. The coauthors took the book on the road with a multi-city and state tour presenting panel talks about love, dating, remarriage, and divorce. The success of the book and the tour led visionary Tamora Katrice to birth another book, Seasons of Divorce.
Seasons of Divorce also features 12 women. Another bestseller, the goal of this devotional / journal is to help other women navigate the journey to being healed and whole. Shortly after its release, Tamora partnered with Tanya Denise of Love Wins Publishing to launch a men’s edition of Life After Divorce. The men will take center stage at the conference and gala and it is going to be epic.
