Former NFL Head Coach Mike Tice to Oversee A7FL Open Combine Featuring Pro Scouts
The American 7s Football League (A7FL) is excited to announce that former NFL veteran and Head Coach Mike Tice will be overseeing the upcoming A7FL Open Combine. This event, taking place on Saturday, July 22 and Sunday, July 23, will give free agent players the chance to demonstrate their skills in front of pro scouts from the NFL, USFL, XFL, and AFL.
Tice brings his extensive experience in the game of football to this unique platform. During his 11 years as an NFL player and 22 seasons as a coach, Tice has been part of four Super Bowl victories and served as Head Coach of the Minnesota Vikings. He is thrilled to help provide aspiring players with exposure and potentially open doors for them in the professional leagues.
“This is an exciting opportunity for me to help these young athletes reach their dreams,” said Tice. “I look forward to seeing their talent on display during the A7FL Open Combine.”
The A7FL Open Combine will feature physical tests such as 40-yard dash times and vertical jumps for each participant. Professional scouts from various leagues will be in attendance to evaluate each athlete’s performance throughout the combine.
“The purpose of this event is twofold,” said A7FL CEO Sener Korkusuz. “We want to give free agent players an opportunity to gain exposure without having a college degree or draft pick status; at the same time we want professional scouts from different organizations across all levels of football to have a chance to evaluate talent outside of traditional scouting methods.”
