They, too, have humbled beginnings, stories of intelligence, and journeys that often mirror our aspirations. Today, we delve into the remarkable upbringing of Andrea Ward. Andrea Ward: Solo Mom
Andrea Ward grew up in a close-knit family in Baltimore, Maryland. Her single mother, Maria, instilled in her and her twin brother, Andre, the values of hard work and determination. When Andrea attended Baltimore County schools, she found her niche, writing. A passion that would eventually propel her into the limelight.
However, she became a mom before Andrea could reach her desired limelight. She was not just a mom but a single mom of a beautiful baby girl, who now gives Andrea a new reason and interest to expand her legacy. Motherhood is not for the faint at heart, and neither is raising a child with special needs. Being a mother is not for the faint of heart, nor is raising a child with special needs. Motherhood is teaching Andrea about privacy versus public life. She desires to balance her personal life as a single mom who is always on the clock and her career glow in the public eye. The two lives do not cross paths as far as she is concerned.

Andrea is not only an incredible mother, but she is also an incredible entrepreneur. Netflix’s The Raincoat Academy and The Steve Harvey Show have featured her work. She is not only an excellent actress, but she is also a writer and produces short film projects. To name a few with her name on them, Andrea has written Reborn Redemption, Deception Streets, and the upcoming short film Coke Vaccine: Prelude, which she is producing.

Stephen King and Stephen Spielberg inspired her to write. She enjoys the slopes and ropes of the writing world, such as building suspense, staying creative, staying committed to strict deadlines, and building astonishing rapport with other well-known celebrities as she goes. As the first black woman to direct a zombie and martial arts movie, she holds a unique position in the industry. These two projects are ones of which she is incredibly proud.
Work-Life Balance
As she balances single motherhood and a significant professional public life, she is reminded of the goals in both lives: be open to feedback, rejection is a part of the game, learn the craft, start small, dream big, don’t be afraid to network, persistence is key, acknowledge your mistakes, don’t allow your mistakes to dictate where you want to go, always be kind to yourself & others and keep God in your life first always.
